Compassion Lives Here
At Wildflower Healthcare, we serve the uninsured and underserved. Every individual who walks through our doors is treated with the utmost of care. Our goal is to ensure that each patient feels they deserve and receive the best of care, regardless of their situation.
Our check-in process begins when a patient arrives and appears on camera at the front door. We buzz them in, and they are greeted by a volunteer nurse. Their vitals are checked, any questions are answered, and then they are escorted to a treatment room.
We treat many patients with disabilities--patients who are deaf, cannot read, are blind, use a wheelchair--and some who don't speak English. Our front desk personnel are trained to welcome the unexpected. We learn to be flexible and alert to patients' varying needs. It takes a special kind of person to be a member of the Wildflower team!
To shed some light on the type of people we have working and volunteering at the clinic--we have many retirees from the medical field, many nurses, doctors, dentists and more who willingly give of their time to take care of our patients. They are the kindest and most genuine people to inhabit the earth! It is rare to find people who care so much about others that they dedicate their lives to improving the wellbeing of others, but they are here in our clinic and at our outreach sites.
Chivalry and kindness are not dead. They live on in the presence of Wildflower and the beautiful hearts that serve within.
