Meet Our Staff: Christina Embry

Christina Embry grew up in Jacksonville where she first took an interest in the medical field as a volunteer Candy Striper for Baptist Medical Center when she was 15 years old. After graduating from Sandalwood High School, she worked as an executive assistant at a trucking company until she left for the army in 2006.

In the army, Christina was a combat medic and licensed EMT for 8 years while she attended college at Columbus State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in sociology. She ran several primary care clinics during her time in the army while serving in Germany and in various places in The United States, and then built an aid station from the ground up while deployed for a year in Kuwait.

Christina began working as our clinical coordinator in June of 2021 and says she is thankful every day that she has been able to join such a giving organization! She truly enjoys the opportunity to be of service to the clinic and to the people in her community.  She looks forward to coming in to work each day and, for the first time in her life, doesn’t view her job as work.
