Wildflower Hires New Medical Provider! (Copy)

Wildflower Healthcare is very pleased to introduce our new staff Physician Assistant, Kathy Wollitz! Originally from Pittsburgh, Kathy's first job as a PA was at age 22 working for the orthopedic surgeon of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

She moved to Jacksonville in 1991 to live the "beach lifestyle," only to discover that, "I don't like sand and unseen things that brush against my legs in the surf!"

Kathy states that this is her 36th year working as a PA.  She devoted many years to family practice, worked 9 years as a staff PA providing free primary care for lower income and uninsured patients at a clinic in Duval County, and worked in the Duval County jail for 2 years "where I met my husband of 25 years who is now a retired Corrections Sgt."

Her last job was doing house calls for homebound patients.

Kathy lives in NW St. Johns County with her husband and their 19-year-old daughter who is in EMT training. Their 21-year-old son is a professional dancer with The Florida Ballet in Jacksonville. Kathy enjoys cooking and reading, and "spending time caring for the rescued pets my children have left with me."

Kathy's experience shines through the compassionate care she gives to Wildflower's patients already. We are very happy to have you, Kathy! Welcome to the Wildflower team!!
