What’s New in Outreach?

Wildflower Healthcare is partnering with SOS (Street Outreach Services) of St. Francis House to send volunteer RNs into homeless camps, bringing health screenings and wound care right to the most vulnerable residents in our county. Nurses go out once a week and deliver compassionate care to those patients who are unable to come to our clinic--talk about removing barriers!

In addition, volunteers regularly make health presentations at partners' sites including St. Gerard Campus, Learn to Read, Betty Griffin Center, Council on Aging and more.

In January, we staffed a first aid booth at the Jimmy Jam BBQ Slam at the JSC Fairgrounds, and we'll present a talk on "Health Aging" at the Senior Day in the Woods at South Woods Elementary School in Hastings. And, as they do every year, our volunteer nurses will be assisting with the Point In Time count of persons experiencing homelessness in St. Johns County, delivering healthcare as the surveys are conducted.

A million thanks to our wonderful outreach volunteers!!
