Expanding Our Outreach
Wildflower Healthcare is expanding our outreach--we now have nurses visiting new sites including Port in the Storm, Betty Griffin Center, and The Simon's House, and health education presenters speaking at places like Learn to Read and the St. Gerard Campus, just to name a few!
We couldn't do it without our dedicated volunteers! A team of four make weekly visits to St. Francis House, Dining with Dignity, and Home Again St. Johns--a huge thank you to Caroline Volk (pictured above), Gail Ryan, Cindy DeLoach, and Lori Remensnyder. Jean Fields, Deborah Kierstead, and Katelyn Fell hold monthly health screenings at local Council on Aging senior centers. RNs Tammy McRae and Paula Fuller round out the outreach nursing team, serving our most vulnerable populations with a smile. Dr. Joe Accurso is the most requested presenter in our growing "speakers bureau."
Would you like to join our outreach team? We've been asked to do health screenings at Epic-Cure food distribution sites, staff first-aid tents at 5Ks, participate in the monthly West Augustine market, and much more! Let volunteer coordinator Julie Wesling know if you have an interest in bringing healthcare to the community. 904-209-3011.
